Discovery Park
Discovery Park is our urban escape. All we need to do is follow the 3-mile loop trail at the park. Meadow, bluff, and beach are there for us to discover. And along the way we're bound to spill some coffee, as Seattleites do. Notice the coffee stain on Sophie's yellow t-shirt, right by the bow? She spilled Van's coffee all over her shirt right when we just began the trail, so we had to change her then and there.

Around Seattle
The parks in Seattle are amazing. We have been taking Sophie hiking every weekend. Our favorites are Discovery Park and Carkeek Park. On a good day, Sophie would walk for a mile or so. And on a bad day, she would not budge an inch. But she would never turn down food. In fact, she would eat all of the berries -- or "babies" as she would say -- that her mom picked along the trail. You can only imagine our embarrassment when Sophie screams "blackberries."
