The Seattle Aquarium had Santa going for a swim. Too bad we couldn't join him.

Jetty Island
The summer camp that Vân ran had a field trip to Jetty Island in Everett, so we tagged along to check it out. The island was very small, probably 2 miles long, but it's only open during the summer. So it was very crowded. Sophie had a lot of fun running around on the sand. And I had a lot of fun preparing the enormous Mission-style burrito for lunch and eating all of it.

Blueberry Picking
We took Sophie to a farm in Everett to pick some blueberries. It took us 45 minutes to get to the farm and another 30 minutes for Sophie to warm up to the blueberries bushes. Once, she got "acclimated," she actually enjoyed picking blueberries. We spent a few hours picking, but we only got a few pounds of blueberries. The best part was having blueberry pancakes Vân made the next morning.
