Christmas Presents

Sophie could not wait to open her Christmas presents. When she first saw the presents, she wanted to sit next to them. Then she wanted to make room to sleep next to them. We had to constantly remind her that she had to wait until Christmas.  It didn't really work. She already ripped open one of Vân's presents.

Are they all for me?
Can I sit here next to my presents?

La Maison de Sophie

Thanks to ông bà nội, Sophie got a beautiful dollhouse for Christmas. When Sophie saw the box, she would not let go of it. So we put the dollhouse together and let her play with it.

How do I get in?
It's mine!
I'll call it: La Maison de Sophie

Seattle Children's Museum

The Children's Museum is our new favorite place, especially when it rains. The areas that Sophie loves are: the global village, grocery store, and fort adventure. A typical trip to the museum would begin with Sophie driving the bus in the global village, then buying food at the grocery store, and hiding in a fort at fort adventure.

Pathway of lights at Green Lake

The Pathway of Lights is an annual event at Green Lake. But we never attended it. So last night, we braved the cold weather to see the lights and check out some Christmas caroling. It was very pretty -- and cold.

Pictures From School

Sophie now can tell us bits and pieces about her time at school. But we learn a lot more about her day through the weekly reports and pictures from her teachers. She's quite silly at school!
